Abstract:
Primary education is the basic foundation of progress of any nation. This is the first step which only by successfully crossing can a nation reach its desired goal. Neither secondary education nor higher education has as close a relationship with national life as primary education has. In building national ideology and character, primary education has more important place than any other social, political or educational activity. It is not related to any particular person or class but to the entire population of the country. Guru has the highest position in Indian society, because he makes the society development-oriented through education. Therefore, the objectives of education keep changing according to the country, time and circumstances, which complement the changing needs of the society. Education enables us to choose the right path by taking appropriate decisions as per the circumstances and choose the right option on different occasions in different areas of life.
Role of the Teacher:-
A teacher has to do a very important job in the all-round development of a child. Only a teacher can actually provide proper physical, mental, intellectual, social and emotional development of a child. The teacher has to play an important role in the school premises also. It is he who gives practical form to the entire school plans; even the best teaching methods become ineffective.
