Abstract:
The most important place in the education system of any nation or country is that of the teacher. For the progress or development of a school, proper curriculum, best text books, educational materials, best educational resources and suitable school buildings are needed, but more than that, there is a need for suitable teachers and women teachers who run the education system. In the absence of good teachers, the education system of any country becomes lifeless and dull. Understanding this fact, teachers had a special place in ancient India. But during the British rule, the condition of teachers became worrisome. That is why the Radhakrishnan Commission, Mudaliar and Kothari Commission appointed by the government after independence emphasized that without improving the economic, social and professional conditions of teachers, the responsibility of teachers will remain incomplete. All the educationists, scholars, politicians and administrators of the country accept that only teachers can provide strength to the country during the crisis it is going through.
