dc.description.abstract Primary education is the basic foundation of progress of any nation. Only those nations in the world have reached the pinnacle of progress and economic prosperity, which have developed primary education for their citizens with quality because "primary education" is the foundation stone of prosperity and self-reliance of the citizens. The first step of education is primary. It starts with education. Keeping in mind the fact that primary education is the most important stage of primary education for human life, universalization of primary education has been accepted as a national goal. The literal meaning of universalization of education is that education should be made available to all people compulsorily and free of cost up to a certain level. In Naik's words, there is a need to make education a powerful medium of social change and link it to national development. Education should be directed towards that section of the common people of India and their productive capacities should be developed and they should be made capable of effectively participating in the work of nation building. en_US
