dc.description.abstract |
Primary education is the first priority in the life of every nation. This is the first step by successfully crossing which a nation can reach its desired goal. Primary education does not have as much close connection with national life as secondary or higher education. No other social, political or educational activity has as important a place as this in building national ideology and character. It is not related to any particular person or class but to the entire population of the country. It has contact with every person's life at every step.
Thus, we can say that the education of all individuals should be the education of their people, which is the foundation of national progress. The country can develop only by uplifting it. In this context, the recorded words of Swami Vivekananda are full of truth -
In my opinion, ignorance of the common people is a great national sin and one of the reasons for our downfall. All politics will fail until the common people of India are once again properly educated."
In present India, India was declared a republic by accepting the Indian Constitution in 1950, and views were also expressed on various aspects of education. It was mentioned in Section 45 that primary education will be for all children between the age of 6 to 14 years.
Primary education is the cornerstone of the education system of any country. |
