dc.description.abstract The highest goal of education is the all-round development of personality, hence all the principles and experiments related to education are structured and administered keeping personality development at the center, hence the study of personality is the basic pillar of educational psychology, hence Secondary Education Commission' (1952-53 ) has given place to personality development among the main objectives of rickshaw. Kothari Education Commission (1964-66) included the development of social, moral and spiritual values in the national goals of education and said that we believe that India should try to bring science and spiritual values closer and closer to its memory. We should and ultimately pave the way for the emergence of a society which will fulfill the needs of the entire man and not of any particular segment of his personality. While clarifying the role of education in the second part of 'National Education Policy' (1986) it has been said that our national perception eption education is essentialty for all. This fundamental to our all round development, material and spiritual" Thus, it is clear that personality development is the central element of the educational journey and it requires physical as well as spiritual development, hence a teacher should have personality related development. It is essential to have knowledge of various theories so that one can understand the personality of the students and their shortcomings. We can try to remove them and develop their personality. Today, the basis of personality education in India is modern western psychology. Persona In the discussions of the theory, only Freud, Allport Mung etc. are heard, whereas there are hundreds of texts of Indian philosophy which contain concepts related to psychology and personality (Sharma 1988). Pahajali's Yogashastra is the science of pure psychology in which human nature and personality are discussed. A very subtle study has been done which is completely experimental (Shukla 1982) and is capable of personality development. In comparison to the new western psychology of the 19th century, thousands of years ago, in the ancient Indian scriptures, personality was conceived by doing a subtle analysis of the mind, intellect and consciousness.
