dc.description.abstract Pedagogy plays an important role in developing interest in knowledge and creative expression ability in every subconscious mind. Incorporation of various types of techniques at different stages of teaching is absolutely necessary. Discipline is an essential element to maintain the continuity of good governance. In order to bring about internal changes in behavior and to improve the skills and proficiency of an individual, limits of discipline are set, crossing which life not only becomes painful but also turns into a web of insurmountable inequalities. 'Discipline' is a term which has been used by people since the beginning in various contexts. The English version of the word 'Discipline' is Discipline which is derived from Disciple and Disciple means disciple or disciple. The disciple learns from his Guru those methods, rules and methods by which the qualities of happiness and dutifulness can develop in his life. In this sense, Hoffman has defined discipline by saying that teaching the moral behavior approved by the social group is discipline. The meaning of discipline as given by educational psychologists today is quite different from its earlier meaning. Therefore, it is necessary that to understand the nature of the discipline, it should be explained in the historical background. In the 19th century, teachers defined discipline as punishment and strictness. Whenever he talked about disciplining the children, he used to punish the children and behave strictly with them.
