dc.description.abstract The education given in the initial stage of child development is called Early Childhood Education (ECE). This education is provided to children before formal primary education. Therefore it is also called pre-primary education. The progress of any nation depends on the social health and education of the people of that nation. According to psychologists, the rate of development of children is highest in the first 6 years of life. Child education and health education have been considered important in the National Education Policy 1986 for the universalization of education and for the all-round development of children. Since then, many ECCE programs have been launched by government and voluntary organizations in the field of Early Child Care Education (ECCE). Centers have been opened and started. In order to implement children's development programs and schemes, the Central Social Welfare Department was first established in 1953. Under its plan, in the urban area, in the field of elementary education, optional institutions came forward and in the rural area, "Mahila Mandal and Kindergarten, Anganwadi program started". After this, the National Education Policy for children was adopted in 1974, as a result of which the Integrated Child Development Services Scheme was started in 1975. Under this scheme, programs for the development and education of children were determined and early childhood education was developed. Qualitative pre-primary education is extremely important for children of low socioeconomic status. Which can provide them a good environment and experience. The question of family division is becoming a question among middle and upper class people and the number of working women is also increasing. Is going. In such a situation, pre-primary education has become mandatory for children. High quality pre-primary education prepares children for life ahead. NCERT for elementary education. According to an amendment made by the Government of India, enrollment and retention in primary education is greater due to the influence of pre-primary education. In the National Education Policy 1986-92, importance has been given to education through sports method in pre-primary education and it is not appropriate to teach writing, reading and mathematics to children at this stage en_US
