| dc.description.abstract | Communication technology (K'T) occupies a complex position in relation to globalization. The emergence of new global economy has serious implication for the nature and purpose of educational institutions. The half-life of the information continues to shrink and access to information continues to grow exponentially, educational institutions cannot remain mere venues for the transmission of a prescribed set of information from teacher to student over a fixed period of time. ICT is increasingly utilized by education institutions worldwide and it is emerging as a part of on-campus delivery as well as open and distance modalities of higher education delivery. ICT in higher education are being used for developing course material; delivering content and sharing content; communication between learners; teachers and the outside world; creation and delivery of presentations and lectures; academic research; administrative support, student enrollment. | en_US |
