Abstract: “Education is not about preparation for life. Education is life itself.” —John Dewey Education is a way of life encompassing the entire life of an individual or society in a very systematic and well manner. In broad sense, it implies all the experiences that an individual gathers in social and natural environment through various interactions. It is one of the most comprehensive and complex process that brings a change in knowledge, attitude, skills, behaviour, values, etc. Education is a lifelong process. which starts at the time of birth, continues and ends at death. From the educational sociological point of view, the objective of education is to develop all kinds of social values and democratic feelings in the child which may lead to development of society, nation as well as the whole world. Whatever education is provided in educational institution is ought to be visualised through co- relation with socio-economic- cultural activities and it also helps to develop balanced personality.
