dc.description.abstract | Education means bringing to light the physical, mental and spiritual superiority inherent in a person. In this way, education develops the personality and gives it completeness. Educational achievement in the life of students is an important part of their life. In a developing country like India, due to lack of interest in the subjects taught in school, many students leave school without completing their education or are not able to pass in their class due to many personal reasons like lack of intelligence, dullness, independent thinking. The shortcoming is not being able to express one's thoughts. One of the main objectives of education is to create productive and leadership individuals for the country. But due to lack of personality and its not being properly developed, we face many problems. Looking at the data, it is known that between 1950-1960, the number of students who did not complete education and failed at the primary level was 65.3 percent, while according to a report, the percentage of students who dropped out of school and failed in primary education was 52.79 percent. This means that if 100 students take admission in class one, then only 47 students are able to reach class eight. This gives insight into the magnitude of the problem of students dropping out of school in primary education. Going into the background of this problem, it is found that its source is lack of personality due to which one fails to achieve the desired educational achievements. It has been observed in many researches that students with high intelligence also have high educational achievement while students with low intelligence have low educational achievement. Thus, personality is an important factor in the educational achievement of students. | en_US |
