People are suspicious of democracy and express their displeasure towards it. Because an awakened citizen is the cornerstone of democracy. It is very important to create awareness among the students for the successful continuation of democracy. It is necessary for teachers to have democratic values. In democracy the people rule. Often representatives of the public are elected by adult voters and these representatives run the government. The ideals of democracy are liberty, equality and fraternity. Democracy establishes political, economic and social equality. In this, the person has the right to express his views, form committees and participate in any kind of statutory work. The ultimate objective of democracy is not just the success of the government but to establish an ideal society in which there can be maximum development of brotherhood among the people. Democracy provides such conditions in which maximum and highest development of human personality can take place.
