Along with the formal system of education, informal education was also started in the country. Keeping in view the increasing number of students and teachers in the country, arrangements for distance education were also made. Through this, education started becoming available to the students in the absence of the teacher's presence. It emerged as a multi-medium and multi-dimensional education system. Due to this, the student started learning through various mediums independently at his own pace and ability. Understanding this need, various universities of the country started correspondence courses. National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi has launched Grishmaline B. Ed.
