Education is very important in developing human values. Education endows a person with real power. Dr.A.S. Altekar (2006) says: - "Knowledge is the third eye of man, which enables him to understand the origin of all elements, and motivates him to do right actions." Mahabharata says (2006):- "There is no other eye like Vidya." Kothari Commission 1964–66 (2006–07): "India's future is being built in its orbit." 1.1 Meaning of primary education:- Primary education is the initial link and foundation stone of education and formal education, which plays an important role in the process of socialization of the child. Since it is the basic pillar of formal education, it seems more appropriate to call it primary education. Elementary education, primary education, basic education, basic education, fundamental education etc. are all synonyms. These all have essentially the same meaning. Although at times writers, committees and commissions have used different terminologies.en_US
