dc.description.abstract | E. H. Carr, the famous European historian, says about history that "History is a harmonious dialogue between the past and the present." That is, by living in the present, we look at the past through an analytical lens. “The four dimensions of history are place, time, society and person.” Well, this society has been formed due to the needs of man and as his knowledge and needs are increasing, this society is flourishing. However, if we look at the society from the Indian perspective, there were inequalities in the Indian society from ancient to modern times, such as casteism, economic inequality, religious inequality and gender inequality. In the presented research work, details have been taken about the following inequality in the society. In India, especially in the modern times i.e. in the 20th century, many great people made efforts for women to get equal rights as men like Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Savitribai Phule, Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar, Maharishi Dhondo Karve, Agarkar, Raghunath Karve etc. | en_US |
