It is a well-known fact that today education is considered responsible for almost every problem of the society. Despite being an exaggeration, this is a very bitter truth. However, the society is oriented towards education for its development, progress and to understand and solve its problems, hence it is necessary to understand its nature. Education is a purposeful process. Education is a means which, keeping in mind the ideals, values and needs of the society, develops the basic tendencies of the child in such a way that both the individual and the society continue to develop. In this way, the main objective of education is the all-round development of the child. Gandhiji has also accepted this in his own words- “What I mean by education is the all-round development of the best qualities found in the mind and soul of the child and man.” According to the modern approach of education, desired personality qualities are developed in students through the teaching process. of these qualities Gradual development and periodic assessment of quantity of future Provides definite direction to activities.en_US
