Abstract: Effective teaching strategies are so crucial in learning that the products of teaching such as knowledge, skills acquisition are much dependent on the teaching strategy. The effectiveness of the teacher can be enhanced through the implementation of the appropriate strategy in the learning situation. Since the focus of education has shifted from rote memorization of the facts to the construction of knowledge by the child, the discovery of new teaching strategies and their implementation acquires an unavoidable importance in educational research. Also it has been emphasized that it is more important for the child to develop understanding and scientific temper which requires a lot of efforts from the teacher's side. Hence, for the effective classroom teaching their needs tobe an evolution in the teaching strategies.
