    <subfield code="a">Abstract: Here, an aircraft cabin is used as a laboratory for studying the atmospheric pressure during a flight. All the different steps of the flight&#x2014;takeoff, cruise altitude, climbing, and landing&#x2014;are monitored using the pressure sensor of a smartphone. Specific details of the atmospheric pressure during takeoff and landing are given. Calculations are done for the aircraft&#x2019;s nose elevation angle during takeoff with the relation between the optimized cabin pressure for the passenger&#x2019;s comfort and the aircraft altitude.</subfield>
