Abstract: Errors are crucial in the process of analysing a language learner’s knowledge of the target language, as well as the efficiency of the teaching methods adopted. The present paper attempts to highlight the most common mistakes made by adult Indian students who are learning English as their second language. The present paper will not only discuss the errors of the students, but will also deal with some tested ways to rectify the errors and to make the students understand the correct usage of various words and sentence structures. This study aims to be relevant to teachers and language learners alike.
